About the Author
This book has been in the making for 9 years. At the time that I started potty training my first child there were no potty books with characters that looked like him. It is important to me that children can see images of themselves everywhere. I never thought of myself as a writer, but more of a problem-solver. Now, children of color can see themselves as little super potty heroes. I hope to create more for other ethnic backgrounds. Be on the look out!

Creative problem-solver
As a young, child Tawanna would use her imagination to make things happen. When her mother could not afford to buy a doll house she and her sister created one out of chairs and sheets. Instead of buying expensive clothes, she created a portfolio of sketches. She loves to write poems.
Although Tawanna has been using creative problem-solving her entire life, this is the first time she used it to create a wonderful book for children.
